The Crest Crew Still Needs Line Cooks & Liquor Store Clerks

The East Coast Crest Tavern in Diamond Beach/Wildwood Crest is growing, and we're continuing to look for great people to join the Crest Crew.

Current Open Positions:

Line Cook (Full-Time)

We're looking for motivated line cooks who take pride in their work and want to help create great dining experiences. This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced kitchen team, contribute ideas, and even help shape our expanding menu.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down kitchen stations

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and Chef's standards

• Plate dishes consistently and accurately

• Modify dishes to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions

• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and sanitation standards

• Restock stations throughout service

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks

• Safely operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, slicers, mixers, refrigeration, and more

• Coordinate with prep cooks and fellow line cooks during service

• Assist with inventory counts

• Cross-train in other departments when needed

• Present ideas for daily specials and future menu items

• Maintain focus and efficiency during busy service periods

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Has restaurant kitchen experience (preferred)

• Holds a current ServSafe certification or is willing to obtain one

• Works well in a fast-paced environment

• Can read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English

• Works independently with minimal supervision

• Leads by example and contributes to a positive kitchen culture

• Wants to learn, grow, and share knowledge with teammates

• Has a culinary degree (a plus, but not required—we're willing to train the right person)

This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting, pushing, carrying, repetitive motion, and working around hot equipment, sharp tools, and other commercial kitchen equipment.

Liquor Store Clerk

We're also looking for a dependable, energetic Liquor Store Clerk to help keep the retail side of the Crest Tavern running smoothly. If you enjoy working with people and like staying busy, this could be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases and product recommendations

• Operate the POS/computer system accurately and efficiently

• Stock shelves and rotate inventory

• Unload deliveries

• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive displays

• Help keep the store running smoothly during busy shifts

• Identify and communicate operational issues when they arise

• Occasionally participate in photos and videos for social media and marketing content

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Can comfortably lift 30+ pounds

• Is comfortable using computers and POS systems

• Has a positive attitude and strong customer service skills

• Stays focused during busy periods

• Is dependable, self-motivated, and works well without constant supervision

• Enjoys being part of a team
